Policies
Insurance & Damage Responsibility
Insurance and damage-responsibility requirements may vary depending on the renter, vehicle, intended vehicle use, applicable insurance arrangements, and rental agreement.
Insurance information
Applicants may be asked whether they currently maintain active personal auto insurance.
Applicants who have insurance may be required to provide policy information for verification.
Providing insurance information does not automatically guarantee that the policy satisfies all requirements applicable to a particular rental or intended use.
Applicants without personal auto insurance
Not having personal auto insurance does not necessarily result in automatic application rejection.
However, additional requirements, documentation, agreements, insurance-related conditions, fees, or damage-responsibility terms may apply before a vehicle can be released.
Approval of any applicant remains subject to Dunn Mobility Group's review and applicable requirements.
Vehicle damage
Renters may be financially responsible for loss of or damage to a Dunn Mobility Group vehicle as provided in the rental agreement and any applicable addendum.
Specific financial responsibility may depend on the circumstances of the loss, applicable insurance coverage, rental terms, exclusions, and other relevant factors.
Accidents and incidents
Renters must promptly report accidents, theft, damage, or other reportable incidents involving a Dunn Mobility Group vehicle according to the procedures contained in their rental agreement.
Additional documentation, police reports, insurance information, photographs, or other information may be required depending on the incident.
Gig-platform coverage
Insurance offered or maintained by a rideshare, delivery, or other gig platform may apply only during particular phases of platform activity and may contain limitations, deductibles, exclusions, or eligibility requirements.
Dunn Mobility Group does not guarantee that a third-party platform's insurance will cover every accident, loss, driver, vehicle, or circumstance.
Renters remain responsible for understanding requirements applicable to the platforms they use.
Damage waivers and additional agreements
When applicable, Dunn Mobility Group may offer or require additional damage-responsibility documents, waivers, acknowledgments, or addenda.
A damage-responsibility document is not insurance and is not a substitute for insurance required by law.
Specific terms will be provided to the renter before signing when applicable.
Controlling documents
This webpage provides general information only.
The renter's signed rental agreement, applicable insurance documents, and any signed addenda control the specific insurance and damage-responsibility obligations associated with a rental.
Questions regarding insurance or damage-responsibility requirements should be directed to Dunn Mobility Group before accepting a vehicle.
